§ 50. Mr. Dalyellasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what action he has now taken as a result of the Annan Report on the teaching of Russian.
§ Mr. NobleArrangements have been made with the Scottish College of Commerce in Glasgow for an intensive course in Russian for teachers of other subjects; the initial course is due to begin in September and will last for nine months. I shall shortly be sending to education authorities and other school managers a circular dealing with this and certain other aspects of the teaching of Russian, and I shall let the hon. Member have a copy.
