HC Deb 27 March 1963 vol 674 c155W
53. Mr. Whitlock

asked the Secretary of State for War if he will explore the possibility of obtaining orders from the nationalised industries for work to be placed at the Nottingham Royal Ordnance Factory.

Mr. Profumo

The Royal Ordnance factories constantly seek to obtain suitable civil work, including work for the nationalised industries, to help find employment for essential defence capacity which must be retained but which is currently short of defence orders. I will ensure that no suitable opportunities are overlooked in the case of the Nottingham factory.
