Mr. Denzil Freeth

No plutonium has been supplied to any country other than the United States of America for defence purposes, nor have any contracts for such supply been made.

Plutonium is being supplied to the U.S.A. for military purposes under the terms of the Amendment of 7th May, 1959, to the Agreement for Co-operation in the Uses of Atomic Energy for Mutual Defence Purposes (Cmnd. 859). I cannot disclose the details.
