§ Mr. MarplesThe Anglo-French Official Group, set up in November, 1961, were asked to assess two specific projects—the rail tunnel proposed by the Channel Tunnel Study Group and the road and rail bridge proposed by the Channel Bridge Study Group. My French colleague and I will need to consider the officials' report on these projects, and their comparison with continued reliance on existing means of Cross-Channel transport, before deciding what further action is required.
