§ 42. Mr. Iremongerasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will consider amending the scheme for providing legal aid in criminal cases under the Poor Prisoners' Defence Act, 1930, so that those who are able to make a contribution towards their costs are required to do so on the same basis as under Part I of the Legal Aid and Advice Act, 1949.
