Robson Brownasked the Minister of Labour if he will give the total numbers in Great Britain of persons unemployed for 12 months or more, for six to 12 months, for three to six months, for less than three months, and for one week, respectively; and if he will state the total number on short time, in particular those working for three days or less a week.

In the week ending 19th January, 1963, the 94W estimated number of operatives on short-time in manufacturing industry was 156.600, of whom 12,600 were stood off for the whole week.
