§ Sir L. Thomasasked the Postmaster-General how many applications for telephones are still outstanding; and how many have been outstanding for six months or more.
§ Mr. BevinsAt the beginning of the year a total of 44,793 applications were outstanding. In addition, 103,970 were under inquiry or in course of being met.
I am sorry that records of the number outstanding for six months or more are not kept and I doubt whether this information would really be helpful.
