§ 67. Mr. Dugdaleasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what assurance has been received from the Sultan of Beihan that no assistance will be given by him to the troops of the Imam of the Yemen; and what steps have been taken to see that this assurance is honoured.
§ Mr. FisherHer Majesty's Government are responsible by Treaty for the external relations of the Federation of South Arabia and of the Beihan State, which forms part of it. It is therefore unnecessary to seek any such assurance from the Ruler of the State, who is fully aware of Her Majesty's Government's policy of non-involvement in the internal affairs of the Yemen.
