HC Deb 04 March 1963 vol 673 cc7-8W
Mr. Warbey

asked the Lord Privy Seal what has been the expenditure of the United Nations on the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe for each of the five years 1958 to 1962 inclusive; and what has been the United Kingdom contribution to this expenditure in those years, taking the United Kingdom contribution as 7.58 per cent. of the total.

Mr. Heath

Official figures are not available, because the expenditure of the Economic Commission for Europe is an integral part of the expenditure of the United Nations European Office in Geneva and is not shown separately in the United Nations budget. The following figures are estimates of the expenditure of the Economic Commission for Europe and of Her Majesty's Government's share, calculated on the basis of the United Kingdom contribution to the regular budget of the United Nations.
