§ 46. Mr. Walkerasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will take the initiative in sponsoring a conference of representatives of Commonwealth and European Free Trade Association countries for the purpose of discussing methods of increasing trade between these two groups of nations.

PriceIn view of the different circumstances of the E.F.T.A. countries and the countries of the Commonwealth, I think that the commercial interests of the members of both groups can best be served if we all work in the G.A.T.T. and elsewhere towards the greatest possible reduction in barriers to trade on a multilateral basis.
