HL Deb 31 July 1963 vol 252 c1254WA
LORD KENNET

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether some of the immense amount of work which has been done by the United States naval authorities on the possibility of a multilateral NATO force and which has impressed our own naval authorities, could be made available to both Houses of Parliament in order to ensure that such criticism as they may make of this possibility should be both instructed and fair.

LORD CARRINGTON

I do not think it proper to divulge information about confidential discussions, both political and military, with the United States Government, even for the admirable reasons put forward by the noble Lord.

House adjourned, for the Summer Recess, at Eight o'clock.
