§ Mr. HareI understand that 175 workers will be affected. At least 80 of these will be redeployed in other local pits immediately. The Board will do its best to reabsorb the remainder locally or, failing this, will offer to transfer them to other divisions. Any workers who are not reabsorbed will receive every assistance from my local officers.
