§ Mr. Duffyasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs if he is satisfied that the safeguards against the emission of noxious smells and vapours, which he envisaged when he approved on 21st June, 1960, under the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1947, the use of Wright Mill, Roaches, Mossley, for the purpose of an animal-fat melting works, have now been met; and if he will institute a public inquiry in the interests of local residents.
§ Mr. CorfieldI am aware that emissions from this factory have been the cause of some complaint. Discussions have been taking place locally in recent weeks, and I hope they will result in an improvement in the present conditions.
