Osborneasked the Postmaster-General what action he proposes to take following the representations sent to him by the Cleethorpes Borough Council against stamping all Cleethorpes letters and postcards with the date stamp Grimsby and Cleethorpes; if he will give instructions for the continuance of the Cleethorpes only stamp; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. MawbyMy right hon. Friend is asking our officials to seek a discussion on this matter with the Cleethorpes Borough Council. In the meantime, no change will be made in the arrangements for stamping mail posted in Cleethorpes. I will let my hon. Friend know the outcome of the discussions as soon as I can.
