§ Mr. Hannanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many hospitals have a dental unit for the treatment of their in-patients; and what progress has been made in this matter following the reply of one of his predecessors on 30th June, 1953.
§ Mr. NobleAlmost all hospital authorities employ dentists or have made arrangements to obtain the part-time services of dentists otherwise engaged in the general dental service.
§ Mr. Hannanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will consult the regional hospital boards and the dental profession with a view to making available where they exist, dental facilities in hospitals for those requiring emergency treatment at night or during holiday periods.
§ Mr. NobleNo. I should not feel justified in imposing this additional responsibility on the hospital service.
