HC Deb 24 July 1963 vol 681 c188W
Commander Pursey

asked the Civil Lord of the Admiralty what are the numbers and names of the schools where Greenwich Hospital will pay the fees for the sons or daughters, respectively, of commissioned officers, the numbers of these children whose fees are now being paid, and the current annual expenditure for these fees.

Mr. Hay

The award of Greenwich Hospital educational and maintenance allowances to children of commissioned officers is conditional upon the parents being in need and on the children enjoying full-time education, but not at any specific schools. Fifty-two awards are in force at an annual cost of £3,690.
