§ 76. Mr. Loveysasked the Minister of Transport what action it is proposed to take to improve the position of the four-lane junction of Chichester by-pass with Stockbridge Road, which has been the scene of over 100 accidents in the last three years.
§ Mr. MarplesMeasures are in hand to widen the junction and the footpath at its south-east corner; and to improve visibility at the north-east corner. I shall watch the position carefully and will consider whether a roundabout is necessary.
The long-term solution is a flyover, but this would be very expensive and I cannot say when funds will be available.
