§ Mr. W. Wellsasked the Lord Privy Seal what is now the policy of Her Majesty's Government regarding agreed English translations of the Treaty of Rome, the treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community and the Treaty establishing the European Atomic Energy Community.
§ Mr. HeathUnofficial translations of the three Treaties have been published by Her Majesty's Stationery Office. Since the United Kingdom is not a signatory to the three Treaties, it is not possible to publish official English texts. I hope that an unofficial version of each Treaty may in due course be agreed on an informal basis as a result of co-operation between our translators and those of the Communities.
