HC Deb 23 July 1963 vol 681 c153W
58. Sir C. Thornton-Kemsley

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs in how many cases in 1961 and 1962 his decision on a town planning appeal departed materially from the recommendations of the inspector who held the public inquiry; and in how many cases he accepted, broadly, his inspector's recommendation.

Mr. Corfield

In 1961 my right hon. Friend accepted without any substantial modifications the recommendations of his Inspector in 5,022 cases, and did not in 182 cases. The corresponding figures for 1962 were 5,613 and 96.
