Mr. Dudley Smith

asked the Postmaster-General how many telephone subscribers in the Brentford and Chiswick borough have been enrolled in the past 12 months; how many remain on the waiting list for telephones; and how many persons have ceased to be subscribers.

One thousand and sixty-seven telephone subscribers in Brentford and Chiswick have been connected in the last 12 months and there are now 138 on the waiting list. 685 subscribers have given up their telephones during the past year, but these include people who have moved to other areas.
