§ 51 and 52. Mr. Watkinsasked the Minister of Health (1) whether, in view of the acute shortage of midwives in hospitals within the mid-Wales counties, he will consider making an arrangement being made between the hospital management committees and the local health authorities, whereby available midwives may be employed, for certain periods, in hospitals which need such services;
(2) whether he will consider establishing a central reserve of midwives as a means of alleviating the acute shortage in hospitals within the mid-Wales counties.
§ Mr. BraineThe Welsh Hospital Board is considering both these possibilities.
