Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations which voluntary societies concerned with migration have been allotted public money under the Commonwealth Settlement Acts; how much each of these societies has received in the successive years such public money has been disbursed; and what grants it is intended they should receive in future.

The following table gives the information for the years 1945–46 to 1962–63. I regret that to have the full data compiled from 1922, when the principal Act came into force, would involve a disproportionate amount of time and work. Future payments will depend on the number and ages of
