HC Deb 18 July 1963 vol 681 c75W
Mr. Prior

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs whether he is aware of the steep rise in building land values in East Anglia during the last three years; and whether he will give instructions to planning committees to carry out an immediate review of development plans, etc., with a view to allowing a greater choice of land to a developer and thereby a reduction in the value of the land.

Mr. Corfield

My right hon. Friend reminded all local planning authorities of the need to allocate enough land to meet demands. He is not aware of any general shortage of land for development in East Anglia.
