§ 64. Mr. N. Pannellasked the Minister of Labour how many applications for work vouchers have been applied for under the Commonwealth Immigrants Act from India and Pakistan; respectively; how many have been issued; and how many have lapsed.
§ Mr. HareIn respect of India, 66,405 applications had been received up to 12th July, 1963, 17,761 vouchers had been issued, and 5,293 vouchers had been returned to the Ministry because their validity had expired or because their holders no longer required them. The corresponding figures for Pakistan are 88,013 applications, 11,430 vouchers issued and 834 vouchers returned.
