HC Deb 17 July 1963 vol 681 cc62-3W
Mr. Prior

asked the Secretary of State for War what instructions are issued to the British Army of the Rhine to use British food products, such as dried eggs and dried milk.

Mr. Godber

Food for the British Army of the Rhine is bought by competitive tender. The factors which determine to whom contracts are let are price and quality and contracts do not specify that food should be of British origin. Dried eggs and dried milk are not issued to troops serving in B.A.O.R.
