§ 72. Mr. Prenticeasked the Secretary for Technical Co-operation what pro portion of the assistance rendered by his Department, measured in financial terms, goes to Asia, Africa, South America and to other parts of the world, respectively.
Mr. CarrThis year my Department expects to give about 16 per cent. of its assistance to Asia 57 per cent. to Africa, 1 per cent. to South America and 8 per cent. to other parts of the world. In addition about 12 per cent. goes in contributions to United Nations technical assistance programmes and about 6 per cent. to various home-based activities whose effort cannot be divided between areas.
