§ Mr. Bottomleyasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will take steps to ensure the sinking of more boreholes for the supply of water in the cattle-raising areas of Bechuanaland.
§ Mr. Fisher100 additional boreholes are planned for the financial year 1963–64, of which about 50 are in the cattle-raising areas. Acceleration of the borehole programme is to a large extent dependent on the provision and allocation of funds under the Commonwealth Development Bill which is now before Parliament.
