asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many secondary schools exist in Basutoland, Bechuanaland and Swaziland; what is their capacity; and what plans are being made by Her Majesty's Government to expand secondary educational facilities in the three countries.

The preparation of development plans for the three territories, including plans for the expansion of secondary education facilities, is dependent on the provision and allocation of funds under the Commonwealth Development Bill which is currently before Parliament.
