§ Mr. MarplesIn five months to 31st May, 1963, there were 55 fatal and 397 serious casaulties at uncontrolled pedestrian crossings in Great Britain, compared with 59 fatal and 411 serious casualties in the corresponding period of 1962. The number of accidents is not known.
On trunk roads and classified roads, 13 pedestrian subways and bridges have been completed since 1st January, 1963, and another 68 are under construction.
