Mrs. Hartasked the Prime Minister if the public speech of the Minister for Science at Sheffield on 14th December, referring to the responsibilities of the research councils to give money to first-class scientific brains for first-class projects, represents the policy of Her Majesty's Government.
§ The Prime MinisterMy noble Friend was referring to the support given by the research councils to promising research projects put forward by research workers in universities, colleges, and other research institutions. This is fully in accord with the Government's policy of promoting scientific and technical progress.
