HC Deb 23 January 1963 vol 670 c55W
Sir R. Glyn

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what steps he took to assist the Milk Marketing Board to overcome the problems created by the recent freeze-up in the south-west of England; and to what extent any assistance offered was utilised.

Mr. Soames

My officials in the south-west have been in constant touch with the regional officers of the Milk Marketing Board and they will continue to give them all the help they can.

I should like to pay tribute to the farmers and others through whose hard work and determination the milk has been getting through in spite of the appalling conditions.
