LORD MANCROFT

asked Her Majesty's Government:

If they can say whether Thomas Wyld of Nottingham, who on January 7 wounded a bailiff in the eye and then shot himself through the head, possessed a licence for the revolver from which the shot was fired.

I am informed that the deceased possessed neither a firearm certificate nor a gun licence in respect of this weapon.
