§ Mr. Neaveasked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware of the need for an early improvement in Didcot Post Office; and whether he will reconsider his decision, in view of past assurances, not to start work before June, 1964.
§ Mr. BevinsI recognise that there is a need to improve facilities at Didcot Post Office, and I am sorry that the timetable previously quoted for the scheme has had to be put back. I have reviewed the position, but would not be justified in changing the new time-table, as explained to my hon. Friend last July. I will keep the position under special review, and if it proves possible to speed up the time-table, I will certainly do so.
