Mr. Skeet askedthe President of the Board of Trade, having regard to the fact that a total of some £300 millions has been paid by British and Anglo-Dutch petroleum companies to host governments in the underdeveloped countries of the Middle East and Venezuela during 1962 on account of royalties, taxes and levies, if he will take steps to limit to the present quantity imports of oil from the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, an Industrialised state, when world oil markets are in surplus.
