§ Mr. Wainwrightasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs if he will state the amount of subsidy granted to those local authorities which plan to improve aged people's bungalows by installing some form of central heating.
§ Mr. CorfieldThe Housing Acts provide for the payment of subsidies towards the cost of new houses and grants for improvement of existing houses. Improvement grants are not intended to assist the replacement of one form of heating by another, and my right hon. Friend has received no proposals of this nature from local authorities.
