§ 116. Mr. Holtasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what concessions on Danish exports of agricultural products to the British market are being requested by the Danish Government as a condition of further tariff reductions in the European Free Trade Association; and what action Her Majesty's Government proposes to take to meet this request.
§ Mr. SoamesAt their recent meeting the E.F.T.A. Ministers instructed the Permanent Representatives to prepare a detailed programme for speedier elimination of the remaining tariffs on industrial goods. Trade in agricultural products is also to be discussed, and Ministers will meet again in May to consider and decide upon the proposals prepared by the Permanent Representatives. In the meantime I cannot predict the outcome of our talks with Denmark.
