§ Mr. Robert Jenkinsasked the Prime Minister whether at the time of appointment of the Advisory Commission on the Review of the Constitution of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland, or during the work of the Commission, its Chairman, Lord Monckton, and members were made aware of the statements by British Ministers and other delegates at the 1953 Conference on Federation, and now published in Command Paper No. 1948, that any proposal to terminate the Constitution could only be put into effect with the concurrence of the Federal Government and all three Territorial Governments, and of Her Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom.
