HC Deb 25 February 1963 vol 672 c109W
17. Mr. Cordle

asked the Minister of Aviation if he has yet taken a decision on the future of the aviation factory premises at Christchurch; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Amery

Negotiations are now proceeding for the sale of the western section of the Christchurch factory to an industrial concern.

I am continuing my efforts to find suitable buyers for the rest of the factory.

If no buyers appear within the next few months I am prepared to consider leasing the factory to the local authority for operation as a trading estate.
