91. Mr. Vaneasked the Postmaster-General whether he will reintroduce a postal service between the north-west of England and addresses in London and the southern counties, so that there may be reasonable certainty of the delivery of letters on the morning following posting.
§ Miss PikeI am sorry that, owing to the recent bad weather, the postal services between the North-West and London and the southern counties have not been working as well as they should in normal circumstances. We have done everything we can to maintain a reasonable service, and we shall try to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.
