§ Sir L. Ropnerasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer when he expects to receive the recommendations of the Halsbury Committee on decimal coinage; and how soon thereafter he will be able to announce his decision on the recommendations.
§ Mr. du CannThe Committee expects to finish taking evidence this month. It is difficult to estimate the time required for the preparation and printing of the Report; but I hope that it will be available before the Summer Recess. Until my right hon. Friend has seen the Report I am unable to say when it will be possible to announce any decisions on the recommendations made in it.
