§ Mr. HeathThe Resolution to implement Section IV of the Final Act of the London Conference, adopted by the North Atlantic Council on 22nd October, 1954, and forming part of the Paris Agreements, provides that all forces of member nations stationed in the area of Allied Command, Europe, shall be placed under North Atlantic Treaty Organisation command with the exceptions of forces intended for the defence of overseas territories and other forces which the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation recognises as suitable to remain under national command.
