§ Mr. LeburnThe recent Rent Return (Cmnd. 1923) gives the average standard rent of permanent local authority houses at 28th November, 1962, as £31 16s. 3d. (12s. 3d. per week) before allowing for rebates and surcharges. The May return covering about 90 per cent. of the houses showed an average rent of £30 13s. 2d. (11 s. 10d. per week).
