HC Deb 04 February 1963 vol 671 cc11-2W
Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Lord Privy Seal what attention has been given by the Committee on Colonialism of the United Nations General Assembly to the non-self-governing territories of the United States of America; and what proposals have been made for their attainment of independence.

Mr. P. Thomas

The question presumably refers to the Committee originally appointed with 17 members by the General Assembly at its Sixteenth Session and reappointed as the Committee of Twenty-Four at the Seven- teenth Session. This Committee has not yet given its attention to American territories.
