§ Mr. BraineThe waiting period varies according to specialty. For non-urgent cases in general medicine and surgery it is from one to two weeks, in orthopaedics two to four weeks and in tropical medicine six to seven weeks. A second tropical medicine ward to be opened next month will reduce the waiting period in this specialty.
