§ Mr. Awberyasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what provision, further to the establishment of machinery for assisting migrants from Malta to this and other countries, Her Majesty's Government has made for dealing with the problem of unemployment in Malta, which has increased by 30 per cent. during the past three years.
§ Mr. FisherThis is the responsibility, in the first instance, of the Malta Government. The British Government are giving substantial financial assistance towards economic development and in particular the promotion of tourism and new industries.
