HC Deb 05 December 1963 vol 685 cc220-1W
Sir Knox Cunningham

asked the Secretary of State for War what was the number of free leave warrants for travel by air within the United Kingdom which have been issued for officers and other ranks, respectively, during the past 12 months or other convenient period.

Mr. Ramsden

During the year ending 31st October, 1963, 21 officers and 386 other ranks were issued with free leave warrants for travel by air within the United Kingdom.

These warrants were all for the journey between the Hebrides and the mainland of Scotland. This is the only route in the United Kingdom for which this concession is granted.
