§ Mr. Clive Bossomasked the Minister of Labour why, in the Choice of Careers Series No. 92, Professional Engineers, published by Her Majesty's Government, no reference is made to traffic engineers; and whether he will make good the omission when the publication is revised.
§ Mr. GodberThe booklet is intended to give young people a general picture of the main branches of engineering and examples of the work of a qualified engineer. It does not attempt to describe all specialist branches. The booklet, however, lists the principal professional engineering institutions, including the Institution of Highway Engineers and other relevant bodies; and advises young people to consult their regulations. I will keep my hon. Friend's suggestion carefully in mind when the booklet is next revised.
