§ 43. Mr. John Hallasked the Minister of Health if he is aware that research has been carried out at Oxford into the effect of sodium fluoride on human cells; and, in view of the results of this research, if he will carry out further investigation in this field before proceeding with the policy of fluoridation of water.
§ Mr. BarberI am aware of this research, and am advised that, in view of the known facts about fluorides in the body, it provides no reason to doubt the safety of the fluoridation of water supplies.
