HC Deb 02 December 1963 vol 685 cc122-3W
39 and 40. Dr. Stross

asked the Minister of Health (1) whether he will treat the hospital pharmacy service as part of the scientific side of the health service, rather than the administrative side, when discussions on salary scales take place;

(2) whether he is aware that hospital pharmacists are concerned at their present salary levels; and what action he is taking to increase the general scale of remuneration.

Mr. Braine

The remuneration of pharmacists employed in National Health Service hospitals is a matter for Committee C of the Pharmaceutical Whitley Council. I understand that a claim for substantially increased salaries will be heard by the Industrial Court on 11th of this month.
