§ Sir A. Hurdasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will give an assurance that the lime subsidy will be continued after June 1964; and if he will consult with the trade organisations on the future administration of the scheme.
§ Mr. SoamesSubject to the approval of Parliament we intend to continue subsidising agricultural lime after our current authority expires on 31st July, 1964. The trade organisations and the Farmers' Unions will be given a full opportunity to discuss with my Department any proposals for changes in the administration of this subsidy.
